Whatever your needs, you'll find first-hand impressions and professional opinions about the new Ford models that most interest you like the popular new Mustang or the Taurus. All Ford reviews include comparisons, interior and exterior analysis, options & features, and test drives.

2008 Ford Escape
The Ford Escape has been thoroughly updated for 2008, reinforcing the character and appeal that have made it America's perennial best-selling small sport-utility vehicle. The improvements nearly cover the spectrum, and inject a new level of refinement. The Escape's standard safety features are upgraded significantly for 2008.

2008 Ford F-250
The 2008 Ford Super Duty pickups feature new styling inside and out along with a re-engineered suspension that delivers a smoother ride. A new diesel engine and a new F-450 pickup are designed to handle the needs of ever-increasing agricultural, boat, and RV trailer weights. Other revisions and refinements are designed to address customer comment and stricter emissions standards.

2008 Ford Expedition
True expeditions require additional transportation conveyances: horses, boats, cars, for example. With a towing capacity around 9,000 pounds, the Ford Expedition can tow any of these.

2008 Ford Fusion
The 2008 Ford Fusion is an excellent choice among midsize sedans and should not be overlooked. It offers a comfortable ride, purposeful looks, capable handling and good value.

2008 Ford Explorer
Ford Explorer is a traditional midsize SUV with body-on-frame construction. Available with V6 or V8 power, the Explorer competes against the Chevy TrailBlazer, Jeep Grand Cherokee, Toyota 4Runner, and Nissan Pathfinder.

2008 Ford Mustang
The Ford Mustang defined the pony car segment in 1964 and was a runaway sales success. It helped create a niche that exploded in popularity with the Camaro, Firebird, Barracuda, Cougar, Javelin, and Challenger. They're all gone now, leaving the Mustang with no direct competition, at least for now.

2008 Ford Explorer Sport Trac
The Ford Explorer Sport Trac is a four-door, five-passenger, midsize pickup. It was unique when it first appeared in 2000, but today it must compete with midsize four-door pickups from every major player.

2008 Ford Taurus
Ford had little success with its large, front-drive family sedan called the Ford Five Hundred since its introduction two years ago. So, for 2008, Ford dumped the Five Hundred name and went back to the name of a clear market winner, renaming this car the 2008 Ford Taurus.

2008 Ford F-150
The 2008 Ford F-150 lineup offers a plethora of models for virtually every occasion or occupation, starting well below $20,000 and climbing beyond double that. The F-150 line offers something on the order of 75 permutations, more than some car companies' entire lineups. All are capable of work or play, even those models with luxurious interiors, and all have four doors.

2008 Ford Taurus X
If you've never heard of a Taurus X before, it's only because this is a new name for an existing product, the crossover SUV that used to be called the Ford Freestyle.

Ford Cars

2005 sales numbers placed the Ford Motor Company as the third largest automaker in the world, which means that the company's come a long way since the days of Henry Ford telling people his cars came in "any color you want, as long as it's black." Based in Dearborn, Michigan, the Ford Motor Company was incorporated in 1903 and since than has expanded to become one the ten largest corporations (by revenue) in the world. Encompassing not just the original Ford brand, but also Lincoln, Mercury, Jaguar, Land Rover and Volvo, as well as a one-third controlling interest in Mazda, it was also one of the world's most profitable corporations in 1999.

Fords success has diminished a little - since 1995 it has lost market share in the US for eleven years in a row. In December of last year the company said that it expects Toyota to surpass it as the number two car maker in the US, but January 2007 sales numbers actually placed it third, behind not only Toyota, but DaimlerChrysler as well. What has not diminished is Ford's contribution to the auto industry. This is the company that invented methods for large-scale car manufacturing, and equally large-scale management of an industrial workforce, as well as pioneering automation and efficiency technology like moving assembly lines.

The combination of efficient factories, well-paid workers, and low prices that Henry Ford created - known as Fordism - revolutionized the manufacturing world. Today, the Ford company still has family running the show - and they are still being innovative - CEO Bill Ford was one of the first top industry executives to make regular use of an electric car, the battery-electric powered Ford Ranger EV. The company then contracted with the United States Postal Service to use the Ranger EV platforms for a line of electric postal vans. In addition, Ford is designing alternative fuel vehicles like some versions of the Crown Victoria, which runs on CNG, or compressed natural gas.

With the Ford Escape Hybrid, Ford became the third car maker to offer a hybrid, and the first to offer a hybrid electric SUV. In addition, the Escape Hybrid will be the first such vehicle with a flexible fuel capability to run on E85. While they had originally planned to manufacture 250,000 hybrids a year by 2010, the company has had to back down from that commitment, instead channeling their energies into accelerating the development of next-gen hybrid-electric power plants in Britan, working, and it has already launched the production of hydrogen-powered shuttle busses, which use hydrogen instead of gasoline, for use at airports and convention centers. It is with forward-thinking like this that Ford will remain an important player on the automotive industry field.
